Associació de productors d'agricultura
ecològica d'Eivissa i Formentera
APAEEF (Association of Organic Farmers of Ibiza and Formentera) is made up of a diverse group of producers who work according to the principles of organic farming in the Pitiusas Islands. The association is structured into four fundamental blocks, representing the different types of agricultural and livestock activities carried out on the island. Each of them contributes their specialisation, knowledge and products, contributing to a sustainable production model that respects the environment and is committed to quality.
APAEEF is part of ICTIB (Balearic Islands Land Stewardship Initiative), a network of non-profit organisations that promotes and supports land stewardship as a strategy for conserving the natural, cultural and landscape values of the Balearic Islands. As a member of this network, APAEEF participates in joint work with other associations, administrations and social agents to promote conservation practices, exchange experiences and strengthen land stewardship on our island.
Fruit and vegetable growers
This group is made up of producers of organic fruit and vegetables. Their work focuses on responsible soil management, the use of varieties adapted to the climate of Ibiza and Formentera, and cultivation techniques that promote biodiversity. They supply local markets with fresh, seasonal produce, guaranteeing healthy, chemical-free food.
Cereals and Dry Farming
This includes those who grow cereals, legumes and other traditional rainfed crops, making use of natural resources without the need for intensive irrigation. This group keeps alive the historical agricultural practices of the Pitiusas, which are essential for preserving the agricultural landscape, the balance of the territory and the local varieties that form part of the island's agricultural identity.
Manufacturers
Here you will find individuals and small businesses that transform organic products into value-added foods, such as oils, breads, flours, preserves, jams, cheeses and other artisanal products. Their work allows local organic production to reach consumers in different forms, promoting a circular and sustainable economy.
Cattle farmers
This group is made up of those who raise animals in organic farming systems, ensuring animal welfare, natural feed, and environmentally friendly management. Their production includes meat, milk, eggs, and other derived products, always under organic standards that prioritise the health of the ecosystem and the quality of the final product.
